Research Activities and Interests:
Several political entities on the Pacific rim have developed concerns with cultural aspects of public health, particularly with respect to nonnutritional aspects of food. Dr. Morrill has been working with a number of agencies on problems of disease transmission by food, attitudes toward food procurement and food preparation, and the relationships between food and health as seen by local populations. His most immediate research is focused on Balinese patterns of food preparation.
