Biography

Wright currently works with Dr. Laura Weyrich in the microArch research group. His research focuses on the DNA of oral bacteria in past and present populations. He uses ancient DNA and anthropological methodologies to understand how cultural variations, such as diet, behaviors, health, and environmental influences, impact the microbial ecology in the mouth. He aims to elicit new information that could improve our understanding about the complex nature of the oral microbiome.
