Megan F. Veltri graduated with a Master of Arts in Anthropology from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Her research interests include the growth and development of the brain and skull, race relations, and human osteology. More specifically, Megan is interested in how social race, class, and disease affect normal, healthy, brain and skull growth in the individual. In collaboration with Dr. Melanie Haffner-Luntzer and Dr. Stefan Reber at the University of Ulm, Megan's current research utilizes mouse models which are subjected to maternal separation, social instability, and the chronic subordinate housing paradigm to ascertain if social stress impacts the growth and formation of bones in the skull.
