Since graduating from Penn State, I have completed my first year of law school at Washington and Lee School of Law. Majoring in anthropology at Penn State has helped me understand the broad range of subjects covered in case law, as well as giving me a unique perspective on certain cases, specifically cases involving genetics and property law. These cases are especially interesting to me because of my background working on genetics research in Dr. Puts’s and Dr. Shriver’s labs. My anthropology degree also helped me develop the research skills that I am applying this summer as a legal intern in a law firm in North Carolina. Overall, my anthropology degree from Penn State has been very useful in law school!
