Tess serves as Dr. Jablonski’s sole research assistant and provides administrative support to the Center for Human Evolution and Diversity. She manages Dr. Jablonski’s bibliographic database and research collections, conducts literature reviews, collects and analyzes data, and assists with various tasks related to publications, presentations, and grants. She was the project manager for the Finding Your Roots genetics and genealogy curriculum, and has co-authored several papers with Dr. Jablonski analyzing the use of racialized terminology in news sources and advertisements. From 2011 to 2015, she served as a department representative on the College of the Liberal Arts Dean’s Staff Advisory Committee, working to help CLA staff obtain Red Cross CPR certification. Tess received her BA in Anthropology from Penn State University and MSLS in Academic Librarianship from Clarion University. In 2016, she became a university certified Research Administrator.
